Recommended settings for hosted stage karaoke (Singa Pro Web)
Singa Pro Web offers a variety of settings to tailor the karaoke experience to your specific needs. Below are the recommended settings for a smooth, easy-to-control hosted karaoke experience where the host (or KJ) maintains full control of the stage, the queue, and the crowd.
Core Hosting Settings
- Auto Play (Recommended: OFF): Found under Settings (gear icon) > General. When disabled, the next song in the queue loads up, but playback only begins when you manually click play. This gives the host time to announce the next singer and allows the singer time to reach the stage.
- Auto Accept (Recommended: OFF): Found under Settings > Song requests. When disabled, incoming mobile or Discovery station requests are not automatically added to the active queue. Instead, they are sent to the Pending tab on your main dashboard, allowing the host to review, accept, decline, or manually control the order of singers.
Song Request Settings
Navigate to Settings > Song requests to configure how customers interact with your queue:
- Require singer's name (Recommended: ON): Forces the singer to type their name before submitting a request, ensuring the host always knows exactly who to call to the microphone.
- Requests per guest (Up to you): Limits how many pending requests a single guest can have at one time (the default is 3 to prevent spam).
- Allow explicit songs (Up to you): Toggle whether guests can request songs marked as explicit, depending on the vibe and rules of your venue.
Dashboard & Queue Management
- Pending Tab: With Auto Accept turned off, use the middle column's Pending tab to curate your night. You can review all incoming requests here before moving them to the active Queue.
- Background music: Use the toggle on the Right Panel to keep background music playing between performances. This prevents awkward dead air while singers are swapping microphones or walking to the stage.
- Clear queue: At the end of the event, go to the Queue tab in the middle column, click the three dots (...), and select clear to remove all remaining songs.
