Setting up a karaoke room with Singa Karaoke Box
What do I need for a karaoke room setup with Singa Karaoke Box?
Choosing suitable hardware to run your karaoke room is essential for an optimal karaoke room experience.
There are many ways to configure your karaoke room setup, but here is our recommendation for your setup with the Singa Karaoke Box app.
Choosing the iPad

Wall mount for the iPad
The lockable enclosure keeps your tablet safe and charged while concealing the cable.
bouncepad offers various wall and VESA mounts that fit your preference.
Audio system
- Speakers: Quality speakers are crucial for good sound. Consider active (powered) speakers or a separate amplifier with passive speakers.
- Mixer: A mixer allows you to control the audio levels, add effects, and balance the sound between music and vocals.
- Several different models are available, and Singa supports all mixers. Digital and analog mixers exist. Configuring your mixer is vital to avoid any issues.
- Amplifier: If passive speakers are used, an amplifier is necessary to drive them.
Microphones
A wide variety of microphones are available, from wireless to wired microphones. Microphone stands can be useful for hands-free signing.
- Wired Microphones: Reliable and affordable, but can be restrictive in movement.
- Wireless Microphones: Provide more freedom to move around.
Monitor / TV screen
The monitor or TV screen allows the Singa app's external screen to be displayed on the screen with the karaoke lyrics and your ads. You can have as many monitors as you wish, but usually, one screen is enough in a karaoke room. We recommend 55-inch or larger 4K or FullHD monitors designed for commercial purposes that are made to last tens of hours of weekly usage. The screen size depends on the size of your karaoke room. Singa works with any monitor or screen with an HDMI input.
Audio & video cables
You'll need an HDMI cable for the video signal from the iPad adapter to your screen and audio cables from the iPad adapter to your mixer.
- HDMI cable: The cable needed to connect the monitor and audio extractor to the HDMI splitter.
- Audio cable: The most popular audio cable is a 3.5 mm stereo jack to 2x 6.3 mm mono jacks. This cable connects your iPad's audio to your mixer and from the mixer to your speakers.
Lighting and Ambiance
- Disco Lights: Enhance the party atmosphere with rotating disco lights or LED strips.
- Spotlights: Highlight the singer.
Seating and Comfort
- Comfortable Seating: Chairs, sofas, or bar stools for guests.
- Tables: For drinks and snacks.
Room Acoustics
- Soundproofing: Minimize noise leakage with acoustic panels or foam.
- Carpets and Curtains: Help reduce echo and improve sound quality.
