Why the song requests do not come through?

Has your customer sent a song request, which is not visible in Singa Pro? Learn what to do.

If the song requests do not come through, there are several factors that could cause this issue:

Your venue is offline

Your venue needs to be online to receive song requests via the Singa mobile app or Singa Discovery Station. Here's how to set up your venue online. From the main view of the Singa Pro app, tap Venue in the top right corner and select your venue.

The customer is too far away

Customers can send requests to your venue if they are within 500 meters (approx. 1640 ft) of your venue.

Your venue is not open

If you have set opening times for your venue, it must be open for customers to send song requests. You can change your venue opening times on our Admin page.

The Singa Pro app is out of date

Glitches in the software or app could stop song requests from going through. This is common if the app hasn't been updated recently. You can download the latest Singa Pro update from the App Store. Go to the App Store app on your iPad or your picture at the top right. Scroll down, then tap Update next to Singa Pro app, or tap Update All.

You don't have the latest iOS version

If you're using an outdated device or iOS version, the requests may not come through. You can update the iOS system from the iPad's Settings > General > About > Software update.

There are issues with your internet connection

A weak or unstable internet connection can prevent song requests from being transmitted or received. You can check your internet speed with a browser at fast.com. We recommend at least 20 Mbps connection.

There are already 3 songs in the queue from the same customer

Each customer has a 3-song limitation on the number of requests that can be queued at once. If there are three requests in the queue already, a new one will not get added.

Singa Discovery Station is not updated

If your customers are sending requests from a Singa Discovery Station and the requests do not come through, the device might be outdated. Make sure the device has the latest system update downloaded. You can also delete and reinstall the Singa Check-in App.

 

If the previous steps did not help, you can try to delete Singa Pro app and reinstall it from the App StoreBe aware that any songs you have downloaded will disappear after you have deleted the app.
